An online search of the word “confidence” defines it as:
  • “The feeling or belief that one can have Faith in or rely on someone or something.”
  • “The state of feeling sure about the truth of something.”
  • “A feeling of self-assurance arising from an appreciation of one’s abilities or qualities.”

It is all about FEELINGS!

Below, I share my 15 Secrets to Having More Confidence:

Feel your power.

YOU are a limitless creator. Made of the same things as the stars. So SHINE. It’s your birthright.

See and feel your highest self.

Live life from the inside out. Believe me, it will show.

Appreciate yourself.

Know your own value. Love yourself exactly where you are right now.

Take YOU time.

Time to do things you enjoy. When you value yourself, you will naturally have more confidence. Remember it’s Divine to be selfish in taking care of yourself.

Look for the Best in Others.

Okay, you’re probably thinking Lisa, what does seeing the best in others have to do with having more confidence? My response to you is, “Everything.”

Everyone and everything you see is a reflection of yourself. By looking for and seeing the best in others, you are inadvertently doing the same for yourself. Plus, the more you look for the best in others, the more you will find the best in others!

Act “As if.”

Yup! This is the “fake it till you make it.” If you have things preventing you from feeling confident at the moment, or feel you do, let them go and pretend. Pretend you are a confident person. Feel like that person. Then from there, it will be much easier to see the confidence you felt “pretending” to be someone else. Sometimes you can actually just forget that it started as a game once it becomes natural to you.

Practice and use Affirmations often.

Examples:

  • When I breathe, I inhale confidence.
  • I live in the present moment and am confident of the future.
  • Self-confidence is what I thrive on. Nothing is impossible, and life is good.
  • I am a happy, healthy, and confident person.
Mirror work.

Every morning and evening look into a mirror, straight into your eyes and tell yourself that you love yourself. This is extremely powerful and may feel uncomfortable at first but keep at it and see the difference it makes. Look into your eyes and say, (insert name) “I Love you.” I have always loved you, and I will always love you. (Insert name) “I really do love you.” Say to yourself whatever you need to hear that will help you the most.

Practice Gratitude.

Being grateful will help feel good and have a positive outlook, increasing your confidence in yourself and in the world.

Meditation.

Meditating and quieting your mind will help you connect with your higher self. Confidence is part of that higher self. Know that all is perfect.

Exercise.

Getting the body moving and feeling like you are taking control of your health/fitness is always a massive boost to confidence levels.

Make Eye Contact.

Make and keep eye contact when speaking with people. Others will see this as a sign of confidence and treat you as a confident person. In result, it will subconsciously boost your confidence.

Expect Success.

Confidence and success go hand-in-hand. The person who is always lucky expects to be lucky and that is what they receive. In turn, they become confident in their luck. So, become confident in yourself and watch everything reflect back to you.

Learn.

Life is full of lessons. The people with the most confidence are those who’ve made their share of mistakes in life, but also learned from them. Don’t beat yourself up about your past mistakes. Learn from them and let them go.

Don’t compare yourself to anyone else.

We are each beautifully unique. Embrace yourself for all that you are, are becoming and will be. Embrace that in others, too. Boost yourself and others up!
