I have heard many people get upset when the Law of Attraction is mentioned.
They think it doesn’t work. It blames people for their problems that there is no way they would have created. They think it only works for the few elites who are privileged and special. They think it simply doesn’t work for them because their life is not how they want it even though they have thought positively. They are frustrated with this thing called, Law of Attraction!
I have good news and maybe some bad news too depending on your perspective. First, the bad news. The Law of Attraction exists and is real even if you don’t like it! (Sorry!) There is good news though! There are 7 other major Universal Laws that work with the Law of Attraction to manifest your best life! Maybe you didn’t know about that, huh? This series will focus on those Laws so that you can be more informed and therefore more empowered on how to work with all of those Laws to get what you want out of life. So, if I have your attention now, keep reading this four-part series, apply what you read and start seeing shifts towards your dream life!
The 7 other major Universal Laws are the Law of Deliberate Creation, the Law of Allowing, the Law of Sufficiency and Abundance, the Law of Pure Potentiality, the Law of Detachment, the Law of Polarity, and the Law of Reflection. These Laws along with the Law of Attraction create the framework of manifestation. Knowing all of them, how to apply them, and working with them will empower you to succeed.
Let’s start with the most widely known, the Law of Attraction. I know, I know. You have heard all about it. But, bear with me. I just might offer a few other ways to think about this Law. The Law of Attraction means what you focus on grows, whatever you feed grows, etc. Have you ever noticed that when you wake up in the morning and “get up on the wrong side of the bed” everything after that just goes downhill from there? Or when things are going well, it just gets better and better? That is Law of Attraction in action! Like attracts like. So, if things are “bad” and you focus on that, Law of Attraction delivers more “bad” to you. Likewise, if things are going well and you focus on that, Law of Attraction delivers more wellness to you. See how it works?
I really like how Abraham-Hicks puts it, “The better it gets, the better it gets!” That is so true! And in reverse, the worse it gets, the worse it gets! In my personal experience, I had a person who continued to say really negative things about me. When I would hear about what they had to say about me, I would get really upset about it and try to figure out why this person would not just keep my name out of their mouth! No matter how hard I tried to be nice and figure out strategies to stop them, things continued to get worse and worse! Oh, I was so frustrated and angry!
Then, it dawned on me that I was creating this frustrating and angry situation. Now, you might say, “How? You didn’t talk about yourself. You are not bothering this other person.” That is true. I certainly was not talking about myself or bothering the other person. I did not even see or speak to the other person! Still, I created it through my focus upon it. So, the Law of Attraction delivered my focus: this person bad-mouthing me… A LOT!
Well, upon the realization of my creation, I decided to change my focus to what I REALLY wanted. I no longer reacted to the reports of this person’s bad-mouthing of me. I was tough to not react initially. However, I knew that if I didn’t, the bad-mouthing reports would stop. Just like a fire that gets no more firewood and oxygen and eventually dies out, this would die out too once I stopped feeding it. Guess what? It did! I worked with the Law of Attraction to end a situation that I allowed to steal my joy and to keep my joy flowing in me.
See we have the power to create our reality. Our inner reality does not have to live in turmoil even if what we see outside ourselves is. When our inner reality is peace and calm, eventually the storms around us will transform into peace and calm too. The Bible says, what a man thinketh, so is he. Buddha said the same. The late Wayne Dyer wrote a book about if we want to change our lives, we have to change our minds. The power is ours! When we work with the Universal Laws, our best lives are created!
Stay tuned for Part 2 of this series next week!
