By implementing some dietary changes, combined with herbal medicine, you can save your gallbladder. Chances are that if you are reading this, you have been diagnosed with Gallstones.

When suffering from gallstones, you tend to have severe pain in the upper right abdomen soon after a meal. The pain also tends to appear in the upper right back or area between the shoulder blades and does not subside for more than 2-3 hours.

At times, you get a feeling of nausea or vomiting which makes you feel so out of sorts that you wonder why you had to have a meal at all. If you haven’t been diagnosed as yet a simple ultrasound could confirm whether or not gallstones are present in your gallbladder. It is most likely then that the doctor will advise you to undergo surgery for removal of the gallbladder.

However, are you aware that this is not a solution?

Removal of this particular organ can result in bowel complications and even bowel cancer further down the track. Why would or should you opt for surgery when there are other options before going down the surgical track that are safe and more effective for long term health?

I am referring to Natural Therapy solutions as a form of treatment that will dissolve your gallstones out of your system without the stress, tension and any harmful side effects that may occur because of surgery.

Knowing the composition of gallstones brings forth the solutions that work for dissolving them.

Gallstones are essentially composed of cholesterol or bilirubin and become solidified through excess bile that remains in the gallbladder along with calcium salts and water. Bile is necessary for digestion of fatty foods, and the gallbladder is the storage point for this enzyme; the gallbladder receives the bile from the liver through a duct and passes it on to the small intestine via another duct.

In this process, if any gallstones escape from the gallbladder into the ducts, you feel pain in the area where the gallbladder is located, i.e., the upper right abdomen. In fact, it can result in an emergency. Fortunately, Naturopathic medicine is foundationally a nutrition based form of therapy, therefore, is aware of what foods that can and can’t be consumed to dissolve gallstones naturally.

Let’s have a look at what you can do!

The best natural remedy known so far for gallstones is extra virgin olive oil. There are two methods of use with olive oil. Firstly, taken internally and also applied externally warmed to a heat that will allow it transport easily through your skin. You can apply the oil direct to the gallbladder area then apply a warmed towel also taking in the abdominal area. The oil will seep through the pores of your skin that have been expanded with the heat and begin to dissolve the gallstones. Treatment may take several days.

For two continuous days, drink pure organic apple juice 3 – 4 (150 ml glass size) per day. Adding 2 teaspoons of Extra Virgin Olive Oil. On the third day, reduce to two glasses per day for two days, then 1 glass per day for the following week.

On the 3rd day, begin adding lemon Juice; squeeze the juice of one lemon with 2 teaspoons of extra virgin olive oil at the end of the second day. You should now expect for the gallstones to pass out of your system on the third day.

In addition to the remedies listed above, you can also incorporate different foods that will help expedite the passing of gallstones.

Foods that support the process of passing gallstones are:
  • Apples
  • Radishes
  • Cherries
  • Oranges
  • Lemons (even once the stones have passed having a squeezed lemon in warm water every morning either continuing with the olive oil or flaxseed oil is great for a healthy gallbladder.)
  • Black organic plunger coffee is great for liver and gallbladder health.
  • Drink 2 – 2 ½ liters of filtered water per day

During this process, only eat a fresh food diet, eliminating dairy, animal fat, packaged/processed foods, fast foods, pastries, biscuits, and cakes.

Additionally, to support the repair and rejuvenation of the gallbladder and liver, I make a formula using different herbs such as dandelion, globe artichoke, golden seal, chamomile, hops and cramp bark.
