There are times in each of our lives when we become overwhelmed by negativity, and the voice of fear drowns out the call of love.
While you cannot always change your external environment, you do have control of what goes on in your mind. I will share some tips to help you find peace, joy, and fulfillment no matter the external circumstances, and to experience a clear and effortless path to achieving your goals.
Here are 10 Tips to Help You Stay Encouraged:
Focus on Positives.
What we put our attention on grows. Focusing on successes, even the smallest ones, can help you to maintain a positive mindset and to attract more of what you desire. An extra benefit is that positivity feels good for our minds, bodies, and souls, and provides momentum for forward-movement.
Be Kind to Yourself.
Negative self-talk can wreak havoc on your self-esteem and emotional well-being. That is why it is so important to tap into your inner coach rather than your inner critic. If you catch the voice in your head acting like a bully, do not waste your energy arguing. Just shift your attention to thoughts that are more hopeful and encouraging.
Set goals that are concrete, measurable and attainable. Remember a bunch of tiny steps covers the same ground as a giant leap. And smaller goals mean that you will have more opportunities to experience success on your way to reaching those grander goals.
There are an infinite number of paths to any end-point. So, if you find yourself trekking along an arduous trail, you might want to consider looking for a different route. Revising your goals does not mean that you need to let go of your dreams. It just opens you up to new options and more creative ways of getting to the place where your spirit will soar.
Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff.
Remember your ultimate goal is to live more joyful, meaningful and inspired life. If you focus mainly on following your joy, you will be less likely to feel let down when all the smaller details do not line up exactly as you think they should.
Allow Space for Inspiration.
It is natural to want to see immediate results, but it also important to allow space for your dreams to germinate and grow. Making space in your life for change brings a sense of allowing things to happen rather than trying to micromanage and control the process. So, instead of telling yourself, “I am stuck,” try, “I am stepping back to allow space for my dreams to materialize.”
The more we attach the outcomes the more we run the risk of trying to over-control and smother our dreams. Attachment comes from our small egoic minds along with all of our other mental and emotional baggage. Releasing attachments means tuning into something greater than ourselves and knowing that if we don’t get what we think we want it is only because the universe has something even better in store for us!
Spend Time with People who Support Your Dreams.
Do not let other people’s negative talk and beliefs bring you down. Surround yourself with people who are honest, supportive, and whose values and vibes align with your own.
Welcome Divine Support.
Know that you do not need to do everything! We all have a divine support system willing to step in and support us once we invite in that support. We can access our celestial support any time, and anywhere just by setting an intention and being open to receive.
Enjoy the Process.
So many of us experience life as a series of struggles to reach an unattainable goal. To shift this belief, focus on finding joy in the process, not just the imagined outcome. For example, instead of focusing on how great your body will look when you get through this new diet and lose those 30 pounds, focus on how exciting it is to be making new and healthier dietary choices and how good and healthy your body feels now.
The best inspiration always comes from within. So, please know that even when the outside world does not yet fully reflect your inner beauty, it is always there waiting and wanting to be realized.
