Do you …
- Have a conscious knowledge and bad memories of childhood trauma, neglect, abuse, shaming, or abandonment?
- Feel like something’s missing in your life, but “on paper” you’ve got it all?
- Feel like you SHOULD be happier? You’d like to be happy but cannot easily laugh, feel awe, joy, inner peace.
- Feel stalled or stuck in some way. You cannot pinpoint what your next move should be or have trouble making decisions.
- Find yourself self-sabotaging relationships? You shut down when things get “too real.”
- Observe that your emotions are sometimes really EXTREME? Someone says or does something most people would consider minor, yet you respond with or feel extreme rage, sadness, frustration, rejection, loneliness, (fill in an emotion of upset).
- “Suddenly” find yourself sick or have developed a major disease despite eating well and taking care of yourself? Or, perhaps you developed an illness early in life.
Being wounded in your childhood may be at the core of each of these circumstances. Understanding the role of the inner-child can help us step-up to a greater version of self.
Without the burden of childhood pain and trauma tethering us, my clients and I have experienced huge shifts from finally feeling comfortable in your skin, to starting a new business, to finding that dream life partner. When the internal is balanced, the external is balanced!
Hidden Secrets, Doorways, Escape, Release
“Children don’t know anything!” “When you’re older, you’ll understand.” “Stop living in a fantasy; that’s not real!” “Stop being so full of yourself!”
From a spiritual perspective, I assert that this is not truth. Higher guidance has illustrated that we EACH come here knowing our interconnection to all life, God, or Source, our infinite potential, our divine perfection, and our life purpose!
We’ve been told adulthood is where it’s at. Yet as adults, we may actually have become “hooded” from understanding what’s at the heart of living and thriving. We run toward “being a grownup,” swallowing childhood pain, trauma, and accepting others’ rules and cultural programming. We live a smaller and smaller version of who we are here to be. We “blend in,” forgetting our unique soul qualities.
Ironically, we start to focus on the challenge. Yet, the opportunity is right there, too, albeit hidden in plain view.
If Baby’s Unhappy, Ain’t Nobody Happy
Through inner-child healing, you CAN overcome illness, create better relationships, and feel good in your skin. The inner peace and the life-path guidance we crave are found within, and your younger selves may know exactly where they are hidden.
In my Healing Resonance LLC session work, I use Matryoshka (Russian Nesting) Dolls to illustrate the importance of healing and reconnecting with our inner-child selves. These dolls stack inside one another, starting with a solid “baby,” shaped somewhat like a bowling pin. Once stacked, it looks like one doll, but there could be any number of smaller dolls inside.
For a moment, imagine yourself with these layers. Just like the Matryoshka dolls, if one or more “layers” are not nested properly (stable), everything going forward just doesn’t fit.
Conversely, once you “seat” the inner layer(s), the outer layers can almost immediately realign. Amazingly, these dramatic shifts can also be experienced by mind-body-spirit-emotions.
A Multi-Dimensional, Integrative Approach to Wellness
Healing childhood pain and trauma and re-integrating the child selves can often be life-changing. My Perspective Reboot® body-mind-spirit-emotions healing and empowerment approach focuses on addresses:
Body – A Self-Healing Wonder
Quantum Science and experiments like Masaru Emoto’s water crystal transformation confirm that OUR THOUGHTS MATTER. In our world, the non-physical ALWAYS precedes the physical. (Someone gets the product idea, makes concept drawings, selects materials, and produces the product.)
Our bodies also work like this. Yes, genetics and lifestyle choices play a role in our wellness, but so do our thoughts, fears, unprocessed childhood emotions and traumas, and self-limiting “family stories.” All create and impact the blueprint for our physical body’s overall wellness and ongoing immune response.
Sometimes the wounded-child selves are disrupting the body’s natural rhythms. Balancing the non-physical can have immediate health benefits.
Mind – Self-Love and Self-Esteem
When we have been neglected, shamed, rejected, or abused as a child, we may unconsciously continue that pattern WITHIN OURSELVES as adults. Unconsciously, we become the one that neglects, shames, rejects, or abuses ourselves.
Awareness = The Power of Choice = The Power to Change
For some, just considering the nested-selves model I’ve presented can positively change their view of themselves and the world! Clients who could find NO self-love found an immediate doorway for love, nourishment, happiness, wellness, and inner peace through their inner-child selves. This awareness seems to give them “permission” and a basis for making better lifestyle choices.
Spirit – Finding Our True Self and Life Path
Just like that Matryoshka doll that was solid, the youngest child selves know love, our unlimited potential, our gifts, etc. Through these aspects of ourselves, we more readily connect to unlimited wonder, joy, gratitude, and a more expansive view of our potential and of our world. That is, if they’re not hiding, angry, afraid, emotionally malnourished, or pretending to be someone else to “fit in.”
Emotions – Choosing to Be You … Free and Happy
The wounded child is often waiting for someone to “see” them, love them, reassure them, “give them a hug.” Once recognized, they are happy to move forward.
I could go on because this work is so profound and empowering; alas I’m conscious of article length-limits. Many clients express a feeling of lightness or like being released from an invisible prison or feel a cage come off their heart and spirit!
We can heal. We can change as we see(ze) our choices in each NOW moment. First, we have to pause and choose to disengage life’s “AUTOPILOT.”
Ultimately, we are each here to be ourselves; only you can be you! If any part of you is hiding, you cannot be authentic. That is uncomfortable on many levels and can make you sick.
We can miss the “big picture” of our existence because we are zooming in to look for the artist’s signature, forgetting we are the painter, standing paintbrush in hand. It’s time to thrive and BE HERE NOW!
You can change your present and future by healing childhood pain and trauma.
In a moment, you can leap from victim to victor, from surviving to thriving! I am here if you’d like support in painting a new picture.
