I began my journey down the rabbit hole of alternative healing modalities in 2002.
In that time, I have added a lot of tools to my tool belt. One of the most useful tools has been Muscle Testing.
Muscle testing hails from the science of Kinesiology which is defined by Wikipedia as “the scientific study of human or non-human body movement.” Muscle testing, as I have used it, is a way of connecting with your higher self to get yes or no answers to questions. It can be used to help you choose what supplement to take, choose the best fruit or vegetable for your body, or make a difficult decision.
The heart of muscle testing is that your body will not lie to you.
Muscle testing gives very accurate responses. This sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it? Let’s learn how to do it and try it out!
There Are Two Main Methods of Muscle Testing that I Teach:
The Chain Method.
Take your left hand and touch the tip of the first finger to the thumb making a circle. Now take your right hand and do the same thing linking it on the inside of the circle you made with the left hand. If you look at it, it appears to be sort of a chain. Now pull, make sure you are holding tight enough that the link doesn’t come apart too easily, but don’t hold too tight either.
Now the fun begins! Holding your chain together say or think “Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes.” The link should hold strong. Now say or think “No, No, No, No, No.” The link should break, and your hands should separate. Now do some testing on your yes and no to make sure you have the hang of it. Things like: “I have green hair. My eyes are blue. My hair is blonde.” Ask both truthful and false questions and see how the yes and no works. It’s amazing when you get down to it.
The Pendulum Method.
Stand up, close your eyes and say or think “Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes.” Your body should sway either forward or backward, usually, it is forward. Now, get steady in the center again and say or think “No, No, No, No, No.” Your body will usually sway the opposite way, usually backward. Now do some testing with this method by asking true and false questions. Some people like the human pendulum better than the chain. Either way is okay, as long as you trust your answers.
The biggest key is to remember you are testing for yes and no answers. Ask one question at a time. I became a huge fan of the pendulum method one morning when I looked at my counter and realized there were 11 different supplement bottles lining my windowsill. I started at one end, picking up a bottle and holding it to my heart with both hands. I closed my eyes and asked, “Does my body need this supplement?” As I worked through the line, I found that I actually only needed two of these supplements. The rest were moved into a cabinet.
You can do this with food that is in your fridge or while you are shopping. My favorite is to hold candy up to my heart and ask if this is good for my body. I guess you know the answer I got for that one!
Muscle testing can also be used in other areas of your life.
I had a big decision to make about a job offer I received. Although the job sounded fabulous, something just felt off. I couldn’t place it, I wanted to jump at the offer, but I was holding back. I muscle tested, “Is this the right job for me at this time?” and I got a definite “no!” Needless to say, I passed up the offer and sure enough, a much better match soon appeared in my life.
We all want to make the best choices for our lives.
Muscle testing is just one small method to help you move forward and begin to trust your instincts so that you can manifest the life you have been dreaming of.
