“Keep a log of those moments, those insights and tears, and you will find a story being told by your intuitive spirit.”
I love these words by Dr. John Demartini because he’s right. The moments that make us cry or cause our inner knowing to buzz along with those moments where we get so pissed-off we go on a passionate rant, (because there’s so much wisdom in your anger, my love); these are the moments that our intuition is guiding us to our purpose.
Purpose is a tricky word because it feels so overused; doesn’t it?
Purpose is something we all crave because it’s about contribution. Creating the kind of legacy only we can create to leave our mark on the world before we go. We want to make a difference. We want to matter.
Purpose is something that feels ever elusive… yet it’s not.
Your purpose has been hard-coded into you since before you were born.
That purpose often lies dormant as we try to navigate this world. It gets buried beneath the many layers of obligation and expectation. The signs get missed entirely as we work to “be successful,” keep busy and pay our bills.
Some people come across their purpose early in life, but for many, it takes a truly challenging chapter to activate us. A season of living that cracks us so far open we can no longer live out of alignment with our deepest truth. We can no longer function unless we’re willing to do the work necessary to get clear on who we’re here to be and the work we’re here to do.
Have you had one of those moments?
I know I have. In fact, it was a series of gut-wrenching experiences for me.
Loss. Grief. PTSD. Trauma. Abuse.
Never in my life have I been clearer on who I’m here to be and the work I’m here to do. I toed the line for many years; always on the peripheral, circling in, but never able to truly land on what ‘it’ was. It wasn’t until loss and trauma knocked me flat on my butt and turned me inside out that it all clicked.
We’re like glow sticks; you and I.
Glow sticks are fine and good when we get them; solid little chunks that take up space. It isn’t until we break them, crack them, bend them until they split, that we active their brilliance. Until we see what color they were made to be and able to illuminate the world around us with their beautiful glow.
There’s a story being told by your intuitive spirit and I want to show you how to trace it; how to thread the story-line and uncover the purpose of your path.
I’ve been working with sweet souls for nearly a decade around stepping into who they’re here to be, the work they’re here to do and have always known. Deep down, buried somewhere beneath the day-to-day, it’s there.
The same is true for you.
