Stinkin’ Thinkin’
Those thoughts and beliefs in our minds were imprinted way back when we were children, from an emotional trauma we faced, or an experience we had or learned through someone else’s negative thinking or actions. It is these thoughts, beliefs, and patterns that create discord and disharmony in our lives.
Even the smallest toxic thoughts and beliefs can affect us in major ways:
- Prevent us from living in full expression.
- Create stress.
- Cause us to react in irrational ways.
- Cause us to live in fear.
- Influence decisions that keep us stuck or repeating old patterns.
- Isolate us physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Toxic thoughts leading to toxic beliefs and patterns include:
- Toxic thoughts about love.
- Toxic thoughts about relationships.
- Toxic thoughts about money.
- Toxic thoughts about identity and self-worth.
- Toxic thoughts about one’s abilities.
- Toxic thoughts about people, society, cultures, and religions.
You get the picture. In fact, you may be reading this because you have identified that you have a reoccurring thought or belief of your own. You may see yourself acting out the same patterns which you know do not serve your greatest good and feed your soul yet, you find it nearly impossible to shift your thinking.
When these beliefs take the front seat in how we live our lives it shows up as:
- Addictions.
- Bad relationships.
- Co-dependency.
- Lack and scarcity.
- Overspending
- Underearning.
- Self-deprivation.
- Limited success.
- Physical injury.
- Emotional trauma.
- Isolation.
- Introversion.
- Judgment.
- Extreme extroversion.
- Lack of confidence.
- Lack of motivation.
- Limited goals.
- Fear of failure.
- Overcompensation.
- Depression.
- Bad decisions.
- Anger.
- Stress.
- Phobias.
- Overeating.
- Lack of self-care.
- Lack of emotional wellness.
- Pretending to be something or someone you are not.
And much more…
It is common for many people to take toxic thoughts, beliefs, and patterns to the grave. Many find that it is difficult to treat the cause or to be ashamed of them.
Wouldn’t life be so much better if we could release our toxic beliefs and patterns?
Now look at the lists above and think of how many you assimilate with. How wonderful would it be to have the opposite? A wonderful relationship. Setting goals. Having a sense of self-worth and being addiction free, to name a few.
Life is to be lived without the limitation of toxic beliefs.
This is your time. It’s here and now! Live happier, more fulfilled, and be the best version of yourself.
