A Simple Guide to Living Your Dreams by Peter Grant #TheWellnessUniverse #WUVIP #SimpleGuide #Dreams

As an avid observer and student of human behaviour, I have learned, and continue to learn, a great deal about what it takes to live the life of your dreams. My greatest insights in understanding human behaviour, motivation, and personal mastery have come through my Life Coaching journey.

A Simple Guide to Living Your Dreams:

Set the intention.

Before we can create or manifest anything in our physical reality, we must first create it in our mind. Create a clear mental picture of the desired outcome, whether it is related to the quality of relationships you wish to have, the quality of life you desire, financial abundance, your health, or any other aspect of life. The desired outcome must be clear, measurable, and must have a time frame. I would recommend that you put it in writing and read it often, preferably every day.

Ask yourself the right questions.

In the words of Dr. John Demartini, “If you are not inspired about your life or if you are not living the life you truly dream of, it just may be because you are not asking yourself the highest quality questions.” Open questions are the most powerful, for example, “Who do I need to be to attract _____ into my life?” The purpose of asking these questions is not to consciously think of an answer to them, but rather to ask them often, meditate on them, and act on what we feel prompted to do. The longer we sit with and meditate on such a question, and do what we feel prompted to do, the more we become the answer to it.

Believe that you can.

Our choices and achievements in life are inextricably linked to how we view the world, our place in it, and what we believe is possible for us to achieve. If your dream seems out of reach, visualise it as if you have achieved it using all your senses. The more you do this, the more your subconscious mind begins to work in your favour to identify opportunities and find the answers you need to create the life of your dreams.

Take full responsibility for transforming your dreams into reality.

One of the greatest insights I’ve received through coaching is the tremendous power that comes with taking full responsibility. A coaching question that I often ask my clients is “How much responsibility are you willing to take to make the change you want to see?” Those who have no hesitation in taking full responsibility for being the author or the creator of the change they want to see are the ones who make it happen quickly. They do not blame outside circumstances for anything that is showing up (or failing to show up) in their lives, and as such, they are not giving away their power.

Be authentic.

I’ve witnessed people getting stuck in trying to duplicate someone else’s formula or following someone else’s path to realise their dream. I get that it’s not ideal to reinvent the wheel, however, if you want to stand out from the crowd and achieve your dreams, you are far more likely to do so by being the best possible version of YOU that you can possibly be. I believe that authenticity plays a very significant role in sustainable success in any area of life. Acting like a carbon copy of someone else to achieve something will eventually take its toll on you in one way or another.

Stay in flow.

I’ve become deeply aware of the natural flow of energy in all things. In the same way that there are night and day, a rainy season and a dry season, life is a series of breakdowns and breakthroughs. If you want to reach the mountaintop in the distance, you’ll probably have to walk through the valley to get there. In my experience, many people never reach the mountaintop because they are afraid to go through the valley. I’ve learned my greatest life lessons and formed my best relationships in the valleys. Whatever you resist will persist. The more you embrace the valley experience and learn the lessons it has to offer, the sooner you may begin climbing the mountain and enjoying the view. Staying in flow also speaks to remaining unattached to the way in which things should happen, and even remaining unattached to the outcome. Being in flow means trusting that the Universal consciousness has your back, and wants what is best for you.

Apply these tips shared above in your own life and embrace living the life of your dreams!
