We spend so many hours of our lives at work.
Some of us work from home, some of us work for ourselves; but so many of us have a workplace with co-workers, bosses and customers.
There is most often politics or drama going on; even if it’s below the surface. For some of you, you have no idea who to trust and sometimes the things you speak in confidence are spread around making you wish you could disappear.
These social foibles can get in the way of you doing your job. They can be taxing emotionally and interfere with your job and your life.
I have been in this situation a couple of times. There is one workplace that comes to mind. I would walk through the room and the chatter would stop. Silence. When I left, I could hear them talking and laughing again. Back-biting, talking behind my back and rude comments. The fact that I could walk into a room and they would all stop talking was key. I wasn’t well-loved for some reason.
I was only comfortable while I was with my clients; not lingering around during lunch breaks.
During my time there, I rather quickly put on weight and my self-esteem bottomed out. I was in the health and wellness industry, but was ashamed to say it because I was not healthy. Being in such a toxic workplace had tapped me out and was slowly destroying me from the inside out.
I decided I needed to protect myself. I felt defenseless, clinging to the two people who were nice to me. I remembered my stones and crystals and decided to turn towards them for help.
Here Are the Best Crystals to Use in A Toxic Workplace:
Obsidian is volcanic glass, the black variety is specific for this kind of situation, where people are openly (or secretly) hostile towards you. It’s said to break curses, which are triggered by negative intentions. It is known to shield from psychic and even physical attacks. It can also unearth our negative tendencies and bring them forth for us to process and clear.
Is a powerhouse that helps you process energy and trans-mutes it to something that is either neutral or for your highest good. It soaks up “negative” vibes and protects against harmful environmental stress and strain. It repels lower frequencies. Black Tourmaline is great to work with any time, great for energetic hygiene and prevention. It reduces feelings of anxiety and helps you relax. Perhaps this is because of the transmutation of negative energies.
Is another excellent stone for protection. It works when you’re in highly toxic EMF (electromagnetic field). It is the #1 environmental cleansing and protection stone. It’s great to place around electronic devices and I love using it with Black Tourmaline as a “wall” against negative energy.
Is another protective crystal. It protects against psychic attacks (which is exactly what I went through in that workplace), It protects the wearer from harmful influences. It also clears energies that don’t belong.
Helps protect you from absorbing the energies of others. It strengthens your shield, and grounds you.
Is excellent for protecting you from other people’s energies making it great for natural empaths who absorb other’s energies. Jet is very absorbent, it draws negativity from the environment and you, it can be comforting.
Rutilated Quartz and Labradorite
Strengthens the aura which helps you remain strong in the face of undesirable situations. Labradorite will repair holes and leaks in the aura that could weaken you, it becomes like a force-field around you.
Of these, the top three I worked with were Black Tourmaline and Shungite (together), and Black Obsidian. I wore them around my wrist and in a cage pendant. They worked, when looking back, the days I forgot to wear them were the difficult days and when I wore them it didn’t bother me as much.
In regards to this workplace, I stuck around much longer than I should have.
It took a toll on my health, especially my weight as I learned all about the ins and outs of emotional eating. Crystals and stones helped me a great deal. I was finally able to get the nerve to leave once I heard the co-workers ridicule one of my clients. This in itself as telling. I was willing to take action and leave when they insulted a client but when it was me that was being psychically assaulted, I stayed around. It gave me something to think about.
I learned to care just as much for myself as I did for my client, it was a tough lesson but now that I’m through it I am ready and able to help others in the same situation.
If you’re in a workplace that feels toxic and you have thoughts of leaving for something better, realize that the tiny (or loud) voice inside of you is your intuition.
Taking steps, even small steps will point you in the right direction. A small step could even be writing out your truth about this in a journal, it could be making a list of pros and cons or listing places you would love to work at and fantasy job situations. The trick is to go in the direction of your intuition even if you have no idea how you’ll make the change. Baby steps. Also, try crystals, they are your ally.
If you’re interested in making these changes and could use support, if you’re abusing yourself with food (or anything else) because you’re miserable, let’s hop on the phone. I can help.
