THRIVING: Life Beyond an ADH Diagnosis

We Can Heal Ourselves
I was sitting at home about a week after my annual mammogram when I got that fateful call from my doctor’s office. A biopsy of my left breast revealed 3 spots of ADH, atypical ductal hyperplasia, which is a marker for women for developing breast cancer. He, of course, recommended surgery. I informed him, I didn’t want surgery. The surgeon strongly advised against this approach, but I was adamant. He agreed to wait 6 months and check the results of the next biopsy.
In my heart, I knew this was not serious. I knew my body.
This was a call for me to pay attention to my health. In the next 6 months, I contacted my healing community. I used visualization daily to love my breast, going into the cellular structures and releasing all toxins and damaged cellular material. I called on my Sound Medicine teacher, Misa Hopkins, https://misahopkins.com, and she made me a sound medicine track specifically for breast healing. My friend Krystalya Marie, https://empoweredspirit.com/ made me Krystagraphs, healing symbols to meditate with to heal my breast. I had friends add me to all the prayer lists they were part of. I meditated daily calling on my healing guides, animal spirits and higher powers to bring out my healing energy to heal from within. I concentrated on self-love.
At the end of the 6-month period, I went to my follow-up biopsy. He pulled out the portable mammography machine to check where to do the biopsy. He was unable to locate the spots. He then called for 3 mammography machines to get a 3-D picture of the breast. Afterward, he asked me what I had been doing since the ADH spots were reduced by 60%. Needless to say, the reduction in the size of the spots of ADH did not appear in his radiology report. The biopsy was guarded but didn’t recommend action at that time.
I am thriving, and if I can leave you with one piece of advice it’s this:
Since then, all my follow-up mammograms have been clear. No other issues have developed and it has been over ten years since this incident. I am grateful to all my healing friends and my spirit guides and supporters for their assistance in that time of need. I know I did not heal myself alone. I have a deep belief and knowing that our bodies are made to heal themselves. With self-love, compassion, and care we can heal whatever dis-ease we manifest. Often, we need the support of our community. Do not be afraid to ask. Support is available in the real world and the spirit world. Know you are loved.
Warning:
If you have a negative report from a mammogram, please seek professional medical and healing assistance. Get as much information as you can and listen to your body. I had a deep knowing from the start that this was not a serious issue for me. My body clearly told me, I needed to learn to heal myself at a deeper level. There was no history of breast cancer in the family. I had the support of a community of trained, committed healers that could guide me on this healing journey. I do not want anyone to reject professional help. Breast cancer is a deadly dis-ease, and other breast issues affect thousands of women every year and must be addressed promptly.
