Welcome to Jim Phillips’ Wednesday Wisdom for July 4th! Each Wednesday, WU World Changer Jim Phillips will share some mid-week wisdom for you to ponder and embrace!
Independence Day is celebrated on July 4 in the United States.
And yet, Independence Day is any day someone chooses to free themselves from their self-imposed prison. The challenges, frustrations, stresses, struggles we experience in life continue to be with us because we hold onto them way beyond their usefulness.
It is simply a matter of letting go.
Letting go is acceptance and allowance. Accepting where you are in life. Accepting what you are experiencing in life. Accepting who you are in this moment in life. And accepting that you have the power to change your life and allowing yourself to do so.
Letting go is releasing the white-knuckle grip on all of those “things” you believe are causing your difficulty or misery and embracing all that life offers while trusting it is always for your highest and best good.
A challenge to letting go is the fear that all hell will break loose. Quite frankly, that is exactly what will happen and what you want to happen. Once hell breaks loose, you have the opportunity to be free of it, but only if you choose to be.
“The hell you experience is the hell you so dearly hold onto.”
Here are three keys to letting go and into the flow with life:
- Be aware of and vigilant with your thoughts and beliefs. Are they limiting or liberating?
- Choose wisely. You are always at a point of choice regardless of current circumstances or what has happened in the past.
- Life is not static. The more we attempt to hold onto to the way things are the more challenging life becomes. The more we accept and allow the dynamic nature of life, the more enjoyable and fulfilling our experiences of life.
On your Independence Day, whatever day you choose for that to be, free yourself from your self-imposed prison by letting go of anything that would deny you the full experience of life that you came here to experience.
Seek to know the truth of who you are, and the Truth will set you free.
See you next week for my Wednesday Wisdom for July 11th!
