Welcome to Jim Phillips’ Wednesday Wisdom for January 9th! Each Wednesday, WU World Changer Jim Phillips will share some mid-week wisdom for you to ponder and embrace!

“Too often I judge my Self against who I think I should be instead of embracing who I AM.” – Jim Phillips

I don’t know about you, but sometimes I find that I measure myself and my accomplishments against other people and what they have achieved or are in the process of achieving.

And yet, one has absolutely nothing to do with the other. How can one person’s achievements determine what another person is capable of? It can’t unless we allow it.

Consider this, if I am constantly measuring my Self against others, or against expectations placed on me by others, I might actually be limiting my Self. What someone wants or expects of me might be far less than what I am capable of achieving.

When setting goals or intentions make sure they are your goals, something you have a strong desire to experience, not an expectation placed upon you by someone else. Secondly, make certain the reason behind the intention is in alignment with the truth of who you are and allows that truth to be fully experienced and expressed.

Each of us is on a unique path that we create and experience as we go through life.

That path consists of whatever our Soul requires to further expand upon its higher knowing, experience, and expression of itself during each lifetime. We are given direction along our unique path through our inspirations, nudges of the Soul, that when acknowledged and embraced allow for the expansion and expression of our Soul.

So, what does this have to do with measuring ourselves against another person or expectations? Simply, that when we measure our Self against the meaningless, perceived success of others, we deny ourselves and the world the full potential of our magnificence.

Looked at another way, if you have a puzzle of varying sizes, shapes, and colors that you put together with the exception of one small colorful piece that is missing, which piece of the puzzle is the most significant? If you answered the missing piece, you would be correct, however only under that specific scenario. In truth, every piece holds equal significance, regardless of size, shape or color, because every piece is required for the completion of the puzzle.

“The veil of limiting beliefs is pierced with our acknowledgment and appreciation of who we are and what we have accomplished, regardless of the scope or size of what was achieved.”

Living from your truth, in whatever size shape or color you happen to be, regardless of the size or scope of whatever it is that you create and experience, are essential to the whole of humanity.

Allow for the truth of who you are, that unique being that is unlike any other and occupies the space in the puzzle of humanity that only you can occupy.

Let go of any limiting thought or belief of who or what you think you should be, embrace the truth of who you are, and you serve your Self and humanity in the greatest way possible.

Until next time…

– Jim
