Love is the Answer
Wake up from the illusionary life you have been living. Wake up to the Truth. Why do you choose to suffer when all you must do is let go of what no longer serves you and be open to all that is possible for you? You hold on so tight to things that cause you pain and suffering. Why? Do you really think it will be worse if you let go and allow something new into your life?
You are so afraid of the unknown that you are willing to remain in places and situations that cause you pain. You delude yourself by thinking things will change if only you wait a little longer or by thinking letting go will make things worse. There is so much that is available to you, so much that will bring you happiness, peace, abundance, and health. You lack trust in yourself and in what is possible for you. You lack the belief that things really can be better.
Let go of trying to control things and trying to make things better and allow something new into your life. All you must do is be willing to allow things to first be as they are without trying to control or manipulate outcomes and then listen to your heart. Your heart knows what is best for you and what is best in any given situation and yet you listen to the voices in your head, the voices of fear, control, anger.
Many of you have heard the saying, “Let go and Let God.” There is much truth in these words and yet you are so afraid of letting go that you would rather hold on to what you think you want or what you think you need. Much of what you think you want or need comes from lack and from fear. Imagine what your life could be like if you let go of these thoughts and fears and focus instead on what is possible if you allow love to be your guide?
Love is the answer to everything you are seeking. Love for yourself and for others. When you come from love you will never be led astray, and outcomes will be for the highest good of all. When you make decisions or speak to others from a place of fear and control, it can only lead to pain and suffering.
Start by paying closer attention to your actions. Take a step back and see what thoughts are directing them. If you take a moment to do this, you will see right away if you are being led by fear or love and in an instant, you can change course. The more you do this, the more your life will change for the better and you will experience more and more of what you really want, not what you think you want.
Until you let go, you will remain stuck and will continue to experience pain, frustration, disappointment, and other unpleasant emotions. The key is to let go, surrender, and trust that as long as you let LOVE be your guide, endless possibilities await you.
Do we really choose to suffer? If you’re like me, your first thought might be, “No way! Why would I choose to suffer?”
And yet, upon deeper reflection, we realize that even though we don’t consciously choose to suffer, it’s a direct result or outcome of the conscious choices we do make, like staying in unhealthy relationships or in a job we hate.
We tell ourselves all kinds of things to justify our choices and, once again, when looking at these choices more closely, we often find that we’re being led by fear.
One area I’ve found where many people make decisions based on fear is when they say YES when their heart wants to say No. This choice is made from fear of confrontation, fear of being rejected, fear of making things worse, etc. Fear stops us in our tracks and has us buying into an old Irish proverb that says, “Better the devil you know than the one you don’t.”
How many times have you heard that? According to an online search, this proverb can be traced back to 1539! That’s almost 500 years ago and many of us still make choices based on this fear that is often disguised as truth.
When we buy into our fears and make choices to stay on a path that causes us to suffer, then we are indirectly choosing to suffer.
How can we connect to love and make better choices that lead us to more peace, joy, and happiness?
I’ve found that the best way to do this is to take time to be still, quiet the voices in my head that are based on fear, and connect to and listen to what my heart is telling me. I invite you to do the same. This can be challenging since our ego-mind speaks very loudly and has had most of our attention for a very long time, drowning out the voice of our heart and making it barely audible.
One way that I’ve found helpful in quieting my mind is to write all my thoughts in a journal as a way of acknowledging everything my ego-mind is telling me so that it feels heard. Then I put my attention on my heart and listen intently and allow my heart to speak as I record what comes through.
It’s worth taking the time to be still and to empty your mind so the voice of your heart can be heard. Every time I’ve gone through this process when dealing with difficult and painful situations, I was always guided to make decisions that weren’t always easy and were sometimes very scary, and yet every choice I made when following the guidance of my heart led me to more joy. I KNOW it will do the same for you.
