Reclaim Your Brain

Reclaim Your Brain By Sharon Carne #TheWellnessUniverse #WUVIP #ReclaimYourBrain #SoundWellness #SharonCarne #Brain #StressManagement #StressRelief

If you are struggling with a high level of stress, extremely busy days, too much drama … it is ESSENTIAL that you reduce the stress and regain access to the thinking part of your brain.

In my previous blog, you learned about how recorded music can effortlessly

  • create relaxation
  • reduce or eliminate pain
  • boost your immune system
  • diminish depression
  • dissolve emotional blocks
  • stimulate the natural healing ability of your body
  • accelerate growth in consciousness
  • give you peace

… and so much more.

You also learned how to use resonance, entrainment and the two principles of low and high sounds to choose music that does all of this. If you missed the blog – click here to read “Using Sound Healing is as old as Humanity Itself.

This week, I want to share with you the second element of effective sound healing – SOUND TOOLS. And in particular – the use of these tools to reclaim your brain!

Let me explain.

Chronic stress keeps you LOCKED in the emotional part of your brain. And UNPLUGS you from access to the logical, thinking part or your brain. It’s like being stuck in a Drama Queen loop with NO EXIT! Not only that! There is mounting evidence that chronic stress causes brain damage.

Here’s an excerpt from an article called, “Chronic Stress Can Damage Brain Structure and Connectivity,” by Christopher Bergland in Psychology Today.

The ‘stress hormone’ cortisol is believed to create a domino effect that hard-wires pathways between the hippocampus and amygdala in a way that might create a vicious cycle by creating a brain that becomes predisposed to be in a constant state of fight-or-flight. Chronic stress has the ability to flip a switch in stem cells that turns them into a type of cell that inhibits connections to the prefrontal cortex, which would improve learning and memory, but lays down durable scaffolding linked to anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

If you are struggling with a high level of stress, extremely busy days, too much drama … it is ESSENTIAL that you reduce the stress and regain access to the thinking part of your brain. To be honest with you – your sanity and your VERY LIFE depends on it! The U.S. Center for Disease Control has stated that more than half of all deaths of those UNDER 65 are due to stress. And to top that off, the World Health Organization has stated that stress is the epidemic of the 21st century.

The reason I’m bringing all this up is that there are many sound tools that will not only reduce your stress levels – they will give you your BRAIN back! Some of the best sound tools for this are Tibetan (and crystal) singing bowls and tuning forks.

Below is an example of Traci’s experience of reclaiming her brain with the Perfect 5th tuning forks. Her story warms my heart with how much help she received from these simple tools. She’s allowed me to share this with you:

I have always been a high strung, type A, non-stop doer and to get this news knocked the wind out of me. I went into great despair and my mind could not stop thinking about every worse possible outcome that could happen (always have been a worrier in my thoughts) Fialynn (who attended had attended our 3 day Sound Wellness Solution workshop just before this happened), used the tuning forks on me the next day to help, and each day after. Within two days, I felt a difference. I did not have the negative obsessive thoughts as much. Within a week, I was able to refocus them if they did pop into my head. For Christmas, she gave me my own set. I use them every day. It has helped me regain strength of mind and clarity. It has helped me continue to advocate for our little boy through emails and phone calls based on facts and not overwhelming emotion. I just needed you to know what a difference it has made.

Singing Tibetan and crystal bowls work like the reset button on your computer. Sometimes, when things just aren’t working on the computer, a restart is all it takes to get it humming along properly.

Your body and energetic field do the same thing with the right bowl. As the sound travels through your body, it creates a movement that can loosen up emotional blocks allowing them to leave, loosen up tight muscles, dislodge the constant chatter or even quiet it down, and so much more.

When the sound stops, the body and field reset to their original healthy and harmonious state. This stimulates the natural, healing response of the body.

Singing bowls are a wonderful way to quiet the 90 mile-an-hour mind. Holding the bowl while playing it gives you a fully absorbing experience. It’s simply not possible to remain tense and hold on to your stress while you are playing a bowl. When you experience the sound of an old Tibetan bowl, listen to the waverings – the wa wa wa in the sound. There are usually several waverings in the sound – some high and some low. It is the waverings in the sound that affect your brainwave state, effectively slowing down the 90 mile an hour mind, combined with the bowl’s vibrations that makes it a major stress buster.
