Welcome to Jim Phillips’ Wednesday Wisdom for May 8th! Each Wednesday, WU World Changer Jim Phillips will share some mid-week wisdom for you to ponder and embrace!

“Failure is possible if you believe it is possible.”

I recently posed this question, “what are you most fearful of?”

Not surprisingly, a lot of people responded with fear of failure. What is failure? Here’s one definition I found. Failure is the state or condition of not meeting a desirable or intended objective or outcome.

What if the real issue isn’t whether we reach an intended objective or outcome but that the intended objective itself was incorrect or limiting? Does it really make me a failure if I reach a different outcome than the one intended? What if instead of a specific intended outcome, we set the intention for the best possible outcome? We would still engage in what we know to do to bring about the desired outcome, but we allow for the best possible outcome which in most cases will exceed the outcome we desire.

Fear of failure is anticipating failure before any action is taken.

How do we know we will fail if we haven’t given effort to the intended outcome? What happened in the past has no bearing on what will happen in the now because the dynamics at play in the past are not the same dynamics at play now.

Interesting that the fear of failure, which prevents someone from attempting something, produces the same result as attempting something and not reaching the desired objective.

I don’t believe anyone with an honest desire to achieve something does so with the intention of failing- not reaching their intended outcome. Why then do so many have this expectation of failure before even beginning?

What would you do if you knew you couldn\’t fail?

What if you accepted that every choice you make and every action you take leads to the ultimate outcome, the fulfillment of your life\’s purpose? Every experience you have based on the choices you make are integral to the fulfillment of your life’s purpose, regardless of the outcome. How much more would you try beyond what you believe you can achieve if you believed it is always about the experience and not the outcome?

Here is a Truth that might be hard to grasp, “you cannot fail.” You might not achieve the result you were working towards in the way you thought it would play out, but you didn\’t fail. Each attempt you make towards what you desire to create, achieve or experience opens the door to a new experience of you for you.

If you look beyond a singular event that might be labeled as a success or failure and look toward the overall purpose of life, “the progressive realization of your Truth,” you quickly see that each event, regardless of the outcome, offers an opportunity to experience and express your Self in a new way. With each new experience, more of the truth of who you are is revealed. And the gift that you give to the world is your living in full expression of your truth.

“When you live in full expression of your truth, others are inspired to live in full expression of their truth, which in turn inspires others.”

How much more successful could you be than changing the world by living in full expression of your truth and therefore inspiring others to live in full expression of their truth?

See you back here this time next week for my Wednesday Wisdom for May 15th!
