Have you ever been paralyzed with fear? Your heart racing, the blood rushing, swooshing, and thumping in your ears while you stand frozen unable to move?
Some people’s automatic reaction to fear is to fight, yell, scream or even charge at someone while others will run away as fast as they can from the perceived danger.
Complete exhaustion or mental fog are also symptoms caused by our nervous system preparing the body for the “fight or flight” response.
The sympathetic nervous system directs the body\’s rapid involuntary response to dangerous or stressful situations. A flash flood of hormones boosts the body\’s alertness and heart rate, sending extra blood to the muscles. All are great things if you are truly in danger, however, the limbic system in our brain can get stuck in this response. It\’s like having the brake and the gas pedal pushed to the max at the same time.
Enough of the technical or medical terms, I want to talk to you about how DisEASE shows up in our bodies when we aren’t paying attention to what it’s trying so desperately to tell us. Burnout, emotional breakdowns, undiagnosed pain, even illness, and DisEase can show up when our body is trying to get our attention and we are ignoring all the signs.
What do we do about it?
Once we are aware that we are in our fight or flight situation, and how hard it is on our bodies, we can also choose to change that reaction. Remember that normal everyday stress, if our bodies can’t turn that off can lead to this as well. It doesn’t have to be a traumatic experience to cause fight or flight reactions.
Many of you have already heard this, but as a reminder, our thoughts lead to feelings, which lead to emotions. Change your thoughts, change your reality, change your life! Our perception or the meaning we attach to life’s experiences determines whether we see it as a good thing or bad. What if it wasn’t either, what if our minds don’t have to search for good, bad, right, wrong, safe, or unsafe? How freeing would it be if we could learn to shift the thought, take our power back, and know we can choose the emotional state we live in. Love, peace, gratitude, and joy are all choices available to each of us.
I am here to empower you to choose your emotion and then bring it into your body so you can then choose to release all that keeps you stuck in that old yucky, dense, dark emotion you’ve been running from.
What I know to be true, is when I use 1 drop of Essential Oil placed on the palm of my hand, and then tent my hands over my nose, breathing in slowly, deeply, and intentionally, my nervous system calms, my breathing slows down, my muscles relax, and my mind can see solutions instead of trying to run away in fear.
The recipe I use is 1 drop each of lavender, frankincense, and Stressaway (a blend of Copaiba, Lime, Cedarwood, Vanilla, Ocotea, and Lavender) until full, which is approx. 25 drops of each oil mixed together in a dark bottle.
I carry this blend with me wherever I go and have helped thousands of people reset their limbic system in 60 seconds or less.
I started to see patterns in the people I helped, and that there were certain emotions that occurred over and over. Tony Robbins talks about this as our emotional home. It\’s the habit or pattern that we automatically, without thinking return to. So, if your trigger reactive state is anger, you may not recognize that it’s actually fear that drives you there. I like to tell people we can shift this so hope can be a response. Positivity to see the good in all situations.
Wouldn’t it be great to feel empowered by choice?
A choice means once you are aware of the emotion you are feeling, decide which emotion you want to feel. You’re feeling fear but you want to feel confidence, peace, or joy. Choose it with intention and while breathing in that essential oil mixture, be that emotion you’ve chosen.
See that essential oil going into every cell of your body with each breath, it ignites the cell next to it, and you feel that peace multiplying through you.
I take my clients through visualization or guided session where through the use of the Essential Oil to reset and calm the nervous system they are able to choose the emotion they desire to feel, slow down their breathing and see, feel, and activate that emotion in their body. It becomes a new habit or pattern in their life through repetition and empowered choice.
Here are the basic steps
1. First we must be aware of what we are thinking and feeling, and what our emotional home is
2. Then we get to choose if we stay here in this emotional cycle or choose something different
3. Then we take action; using the essential oil, the breathwork, intentionally being present in the moment, and allowing the emotion to process through us so that it doesn’t get trapped in our body causing further pain or disease.
It’s the foundation for everything I teach and all those I support through life’s challenges whether that be in business or in your personal life it comes back to these steps repeated until it becomes your new emotional home. You’ve now taken back your power.
I believe it’s the key to fulfillment and success in your life. Growth happens when we can stretch ourselves through the uncomfortable moments all while being empowered by choice.
