Can Meditation Cure Disease and Improve Brain Function?

Can Meditation Cure Disease and Improve Brain Function? by The Wellness Universe #TheWellnessUniverse #WUVIP #CureDisease

Why You Should Be Incorporating Meditation into Your Routine:

If you are not familiar with meditation, we are here to share a few benefits of it that may open your mind and have you considering this very easy practice to assist you.

You Can Incorporate Meditation into Your Daily Routine to Help Achieve:

  • Mental Well-Being.
  • Focus.
  • Peace of Mind.
  • Clarity with Problem Solving.
  • Addressing Emotional Issues.
  • Reducing Stress.
  • Coping and Coming Back from Negative or Traumatic Experiences.

And these are just a few of the benefits of meditation. How can the practice of meditation lead to a happier, healthier, whole you? Let’s dig a little deeper…

People are Talking:

Meditation has been around for over 5,000 years. With a history first documented to have taken place in India in 1500 BC (any many say meditation was practiced prior to this) with an estimated 200 – 500 million people meditating around the world every day, there is no argument to the fact that meditation is a complimentary wellness practice with positive results.

Can Meditation Cure Disease? Pain? Improve Brain Function?

Western doctors are suggesting meditation and similar practices to be part of a daily health routine. If there is something that can help calm the mind, help focus on breathing and take a moment to go inward which alternatively allows stress to be released, emotions to be addressed and balance to replace disharmony, the results can only be positive.

With the dissipation of stress, which so many illnesses are correlated to (we have all heard “stress kills”) we give our physical, emotional and spiritual bodies a chance to embrace healing and keep us in balance. Clearing out the garbage of the day or starting the day off with a clear mind, setting intentions to bring in positive experiences, set us on the path to deal with stressors better as they arise.

Scientifically Speaking:

According to many medical sources, meditation has been suggested and/or proven to lower blood pressure, control pain, improve sleep, lengthen attention span, promote emotional health, help control anxiety, and so much more.

What’s Stopping You?

Meditation is not a religious practice. It can be done in as little as 5 minutes. It can be done alone or in a group. All that is required of you to enjoy the benefits is simply finding the method of how you do it! Some people like walking meditations, some like to meditate in a quiet, dark room, some with music, some as a group, etc. And sticking to a practice, you are guaranteed to see results. In fact, what you will probably see will be the lack of what you had prior to meditating: more restful sleep, more happiness, more self-awareness, more self-love, joy and much more.

Just think! If meditation has all of these wonderful benefits, it’s only logical that by practicing meditation regularly, it will make you happier, healthier, and whole.
