There are many times in life that not only do we need to forgive others but ourselves as well. We tend to beat ourselves up over and over for a decision that we made or something that we did to hurt someone. Forgiveness of ourselves is just as important as forgiving others; it is a must for healing and inner peace.
When we hold onto things, not only can it cause us emotional turmoil but physical as well. You can get so wrapped up in the past that you can’t enjoy the present. It can make you feel worthless and like you are stuck, not knowing which way to turn. By forgiving others as well as ourselves we can begin to heal.
Forgiveness can lead to:
*Greater spiritual and psychological well-being
*Less anxiety, stress, and hostility
*Lower blood pressure
*Fewer symptoms of depression
*Lower risk of alcohol and substance abuse
Take a deep breath and let go. Forgive yourself, and forgive those who need to be forgiven. It will be hard to be any good to anyone if you can\’t forgive and Love yourself. You have to reach a point in your life where you want better for yourself – you want to feel better, be better, act better, live better, & Love better. The only way to get there is to forgive and release all the anger and bitterness you’ve been holding onto for so long.
Forgiveness can be a slow process. You will know when forgiveness is complete – when you experience the freedom that comes after…the moment you can take a deep breath and relax and your mind is clear and at ease.
Forgiveness can be a beautiful process of healing and release. Embrace it and let the love flow.
