Here is her expanded thought …

The ending is usually something that has no purpose in our life anymore. It is something that may have grown old and stale or it may be something that we have outgrown. No matter whether it is a thought, behavior, person or position, sometimes it is necessary to get it out of our lives. When we do that, we clear a space for something wonderful to occur. By playing the ‘out with the old’ game, we create an environment conducive to an ‘in with the new’ mindset.

Too often in life, people hang on to what no longer serves them. Often, it is out of fear of the unknown. So many of us fear change so much that we can’t make the choices that we know are for our highest and best good. It is easier to settle for what we have than to step out of a comfort level and search for what we know we truly deserve.

When we finally end something, we suddenly feel like a weight has been lifted off our shoulders. Sure, we are exhausted from the struggle of releasing, but at the same time, we can breathe again with deep cleansing breaths. We can see that there really is a light at the end of this tunnel. We find it is a light of hope and possibilities. By allowing ourselves to consider the possibility that change is actually good, we set in motion an opportunity for something new and wonderful to occur in our lives.

Once we have started the motion towards a new beginning, there is no stopping us and there is no turning back. We have conquered fear and stepped out of our comfort zone into new unchartered waters. We are able to begin feeling alive again in life.

So the question is, what do you have in your life that you need to end?

Take a moment and ponder that thought. Even better, take a minute and make a list of what no longer serves you in life. Next to each item on your list, write down why you are not letting this go. This is the hard part, we must be honest with ourselves. Now write down what you could gain or begin by releasing this from your life. Imagine your life flourishing and growing. You have just started your new beginning!
