With Valentine\’s Day upon us, love is in the air. Let\’s all remember, to love ourselves. Rhonna offers this expanded thought on her original quote:
Where does love reside? I’d like to believe that love resides in our hearts. Now look inward and ask yourself genuinely, what is being held in the heart? We let each day slip away holding anger, resentment, bitterness and many other negative emotions. When we have these inside our hearts, how can love have room to take up residence? Where could forgiveness be cultivated when there is no soil for forgiveness to grow?
Each day we must be intentional to allow the natural human need for love guide us, allow us to cultivate space where forgiveness can emerge. We cannot hold on to two conflicting emotions. We are born with the choice of what path to take, resentment or forgiveness. De-clutter the heart of resentments, for they are truly things that take up valuable space with no purpose. Consciously invite more love to move in and take the space where anger and resentment and fear has been collecting dust inside the heart. Dust off your heart and let love reside because… Where love resides, forgiveness will strive.
