The Full Worm Supermoon and Spring Equinox will coincide on March 20th, 2019 –

On the 20th-21st of March, the third and final Supermoon of 2019 will occur, and it just happens to fall on the Spring Equinox.

This is the first time they’ve occurred so closely in nearly 19 years.

Equinox means “equal night,” where the days and nights are of equal length everywhere in the world. It is defined as “the moment at which the center of the visible Sun is directly above the Equator.” (*)

Spring Equinox is one of four major turning points in our planet’s seasonal cycle.

It is a time to celebrate the awakening of Nature, and plants aren’t the only things that grow in spring. This is also an important time for us to focus on growth and increase, a time to plant seeds, both literally and figuratively. A great way to celebrate the Equinox is by gardening. If you don\’t have a green thumb, you can decorate your home and living areas with flowers. Take some time to journal about what you\’d like to grow in your life or craft a vision board.

This is also the perfect time to meditate and ask yourself questions like:

  • What do you need more of in your life?
  • What do you want more of?

Adding to the equinox excitement, it is also a Full Worm Supermoon.

The Worm moon was given its nickname because as the earth thaws it brings the worms to the surface, and with that the return of the Robins. This full moon hasn\’t coincided with the Spring Equinox since 1981, the fact that it is our last Supermoon of the year makes this event even more special.

Astrologer Richard Nolle, defines a Supermoon as “A new or full moon which occurs with the moon at or near (within 90% of) its closest approach to Earth.” (**) Before Richard Nolle coined the term Supermoon, they were called Perigean full moons. Perigee means “Near Earth.”

The closer the Moon is to the Earth, the greater effect it has on our planet. It creates higher than usual tides, a much stronger gravitational pull, as well as, a huge surge of feelings and events affecting all Earth’s inhabitants in some way.

What Can We Expect from This Special Supermoon?

Get ready for some internal Spring cleaning because this Libra Supermoon is going to rev up our energy and direct our focus on connections. Our relationships with others, and most importantly with ourselves.

This super full moon in Libra may have you feeling like you are just on the verge of approaching something really big, and you are! Some of us may also be more focused on what the people we care about are going through, as opposed to paying attention to our own situations. This is our important reminder that we too often brush our own feelings aside, when that is exactly what we must put our focus on in order to grow and reach our highest spiritual evolution. This special moon brings a whole new opportunity to see everything from a fresh perspective and will help us to find that balance, between caring for ourselves and our loved ones, that we are searching for.

Again, this is a great time to meditate, focus on manifesting abundance and love. You should begin to feel more awakened, lighter, and more aligned with your inner spirit.

After a very long winter sleep, Spring has finally sprung, and we\’re springing right into the Full Worm Supermoon!
