To observe yourself means you cannot be self-absorbed! Observing yourself is a higher awareness because it increases the field of choices. This elevated position places you high above the game and lets you see all the players. Being self-absorbed is like being on the field. Not only can you see all of the players, those that you focus on are more often than not slamming into you, turning you around and round till you don\’t know which way to run. So stop running and bumping and start seeing. The power for self change rests with self-observation. It alone can provide you with true self knowledge.
