Laurina Anderson, MSW at SoulTreat 2026

WU: What is your mission?

Laurina Anderson, MSW (LA): My mission is to empower individuals to release the emotional, mental, and energetic patterns that keep them stuck, so they can reconnect to their truth, restore balance, and step fully into a life of clarity, confidence, and purpose. Drawing on decades of psychological expertise, spiritual insight, and energy-based transformation, I guide lasting change that honors the mind, body, and soul—helping people not just heal, but rise.

WU: Please tell us about yourself and what inspires you

LA: I stand at the intersection of psychology and spirituality—where insight meets embodiment, and awareness becomes transformation. I’ve spent decades working with the mind, the body, and the emotional system, and what I’ve learned is this:

People aren’t broken—they’re conditioned.

My work is about helping individuals recognize and release the patterns of stress, self-sabotage, and tension that live beneath the surface, quietly shaping their lives. When those patterns shift, clarity returns. Confidence follows. And choice becomes possible again.

I’m inspired by awakening moments—when someone realizes they can stop coping and start living, when empowerment replaces survival, and when alignment takes the place of exhaustion. My mission is to guide transformation that is grounded, lasting, and deeply honoring of the whole human experience—mind, body, and soul.

WU: Now that we know a bit about you, explain what you do and how it helps people be happy, healthy, and healed.

LA: The process I use begins by identifying the core issue and how it is showing up in a person’s life. From there, I invite them to notice what the issue feels like and where it is experienced in the body. The body is an energetic field that holds tangible sensations and emotions, often long before the mind fully understands them.

I then guide them into the body so they can safely feel and connect with these sensations. Once that awareness is engaged, I encourage them to relax into the experience rather than resist it—simply allowing what is present to be felt.

From this grounded state, we move into reframing. We explore what the issue has come to mean about them, and whether it is truly their responsibility or belongs to someone else. Together, we extract the wisdom from the experience—what inner resource was accessed, how they responded in a new or empowered way, and how they grew through the situation.

Finally, I invite them to feel this shift again in the body. As the new awareness integrates, the emotional charge that once accompanied the experience naturally releases. What remains is a sense of lightness, realignment, and freedom from judgment—allowing the person to relate to the experience with clarity and self-compassion.

WU: How long have you been doing this work?

LA: For nearly three decades in the field of psychology, I’ve integrated talk therapy, conscious breathing, meditation, positive self-dialogue, and reframing with a strong academic foundation and spiritual wisdom—creating an approach that supports transformation at every level.

WU: Why are you so passionate about what you do?

LA: I’m deeply passionate about the work I do because I’ve seen what becomes possible when people truly understand themselves instead of judging themselves. Again and again, I’ve witnessed the moment someone realizes they aren’t broken—they were responding intelligently to stress, trauma, or conditioning. That awareness alone can shift a lifetime of struggle.  I remind them that they are not broken, they are becoming.

This work matters to me because it restores dignity. It helps people release responsibility that was never theirs and step out of survival patterns that no longer serve them. I’m not inspired by fixing people—I’m inspired by guiding them back to who they are beneath the stress, the stories, and the self-judgment. That is why I do this work, and why I continue to be devoted to it.

WU: Was there a specific life experience that caused you to follow this path?

LA: Many experiences led me to this profession, but the most defining ones began early in my life. I am a survivor of domestic violence, incest, and mental, emotional, and physical abuse. Those experiences shaped how I see the world and how deeply I understand pain that often goes unseen.

Growing up in survival mode taught me empathy, awareness, and resilience. It also planted a strong desire to help others who are navigating similar trauma. I know how isolating abuse can feel, and I know how powerful it is when someone finally feels heard, believed, and supported.

Choosing this path is not about revisiting the past. It’s about using what I’ve lived through to create safety, understanding, and hope for others. My story fuels my commitment to advocate, protect, and walk alongside those who are healing.

WU: Please share a story of how you have made a difference in someone’s life?

LA: There are many ways my work has impacted clients, but one example stands out. Over time, I’ve helped people identify and release negative beliefs and behaviors that were quietly sabotaging their success.

One client was the owner of a well-known business. He had developed a habit of automatically offering a discount at the end of every job just to make sure he got paid. It had become so normal to him that he no longer questioned it.

When we addressed this pattern, I asked him a few simple questions: Did your team do poor work? Was the job not completed according to code? Were the correct products not used? When the answer to all of those was no, the real question became clear. Why are you discounting your value?

Through a deeper look at his negative beliefs and the ways his clients had conditioned him, he began to shift his mindset. That shift changed the culture of his company. His confidence increased, his boundaries strengthened, and his bottom line grew significantly.

That change ultimately positioned him to sell the company for a multi–million-dollar exit.

WU: What will you be sharing at SoulTreat Retreat 2026?

LA: I’m deeply honored and excited to share my experience and wisdom at SoulTreat Retreat, happening April 28 to May 1, 2026.

This sacred gathering takes place at The Art of Living Retreat Center in Boone, North Carolina. Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, the land itself feels alive. It carries a quiet magic. Every path, view, and breath invites you to soften, open, and remember who you truly are.

I’ll be joining Panel Three, where I’ll be speaking about creating your magical life. This conversation goes beyond vision boards and positive thinking. We’ll explore how intention, belief, and inner alignment shape the reality we experience, and how releasing old patterns creates space for expansion, joy, and purpose.

This retreat is an invitation to step out of survival and into conscious creation. I’m looking forward to connecting in this powerful container, sharing from the heart, and witnessing the transformations that unfold when we gather with intention.

WU: What’s next on the horizon for you?

LA: As I continue forward on my path, I’m opening myself to additional speaking engagements that align with purpose, service, and soul-led connection. At the same time, I remain devoted to my weekly segment on The Brooklyn Cafe, airing every Tuesday at noon.

This space allows my voice to travel far beyond a single room. Each week, the message moves through YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Spotify, and TikTok, reaching those who are meant to hear it in that moment.

You can also tune in through Amazon Alexa, or listen on Oldies Radio 95.9 FM and Oldies Radio 106.9 FM.

Each platform becomes a vessel. Each conversation becomes an invitation. My intention is to continue sharing messages of healing, awareness, and conscious creation, trusting that the right words always find the right ears at the right time

WU: Thank you for sharing.  Do you have any final thoughts?

LA: I believe we are always being guided, even in moments of uncertainty. Every experience, connection, and conversation carries meaning, shaping us in ways we may not fully understand at the time. This journey isn’t about perfection. It’s about presence, intention, and choosing to create a life that feels true. I move forward with gratitude for every lesson, every step, and every soul I meet along the way, trusting that what is meant to unfold will do so in perfect timing.

What people are saying about Laurina!

“From the very first session, I felt held in a space of deep trust and understanding. She has a gift for seeing beyond words and into the energy beneath them. With gentle clarity, she helped me release long-held beliefs that were quietly shaping my life. As those layers fell away, everything began to shift. My confidence deepened, my path became clearer, and I started moving through life with a sense of alignment and ease I had never known before. Working with her felt less like coaching and more like remembering who I truly am.”
