Mental Health Awareness 5 Tools for Better Mental Health Mental Health Awareness Month was first observed in 1949 by the Mental Health America organization and has since grown into a national movement. Observed in May to raise awareness about the importance of mental health and to educate people about mental health issues, The Wellness Universe is supporting wellbeing with a panel of experts and self-care tools. The goal is to promote mental health and well-being, reduce stigma, and encourage people to seek help when needed.

Tapping into the Power of the Heart Chakra

The heart chakra is a powerful resource for supporting our mental and emotional wellbeing. When connected in the heart, we are centered in our body and able to be present in our body and in our lives.

It is through the energy of the heart chakra that we are able to meet life and integrate our experiences. As we learn to live from the heart, we access a well of resources that enable us to face life head-on with courage. As we meet, process, and digest those experiences, we gain wisdom, are able to grow and evolve and come to a place of peace.

In this presentation, we explore the energies of the heart chakra as a tool to support mental wellbeing. The first practice of going into the deep heart brings you into a place of inner stillness and peace and is a valuable resource especially when navigating times of stress.  The second, Hands over Heart, is deeply soothing to the nervous system and calms anxiety.

Linda Dieffenbach is a Healing Arts Practitioner, Coach, and teacher with a gift for creating a safe, heart-centered space to support transformational healing and growth.

 She is a certified Usui Reiki Master and Teacher, and a certified Heart IQ Master Practitioner, and has training and expertise in a broad range of practices and modalities that enable her to work with the wisdom of the body’s energy system as a method to facilitate personal growth and healing.
