The Wellness Universe Self-Care Tip: Evening Rituals

Self-care is one of the most loving acts of kindness you can do for yourself. As we show up for others, our careers, responsibilities, and more, we often put ourselves at the bottom of the priority list. Self-care is self-love. Our mind, heart, body, and spirit need to be loved, nurtured and cared for so we can mirror our love back out to those we love and the world. Here is a wonderful self-care tip about setting an evening ritual from Wellness Universe World-Changer Janette Stuart.

We believe having an evening ritual is a wonderfully easy way to support your well-being. What we do before bed not only impacts our sleep, but also anchors intentions, helps create feelings of gratitude, and can reduce stress. It’s a great opportunity to pamper yourself too!

Benefits of having an evening ritual:

  • Better sleep
  • Creates more gratitude and appreciation
  • Offers more self-love and self-kindness
  • Releases stress
  • Improves creative thinking
  • Creates awareness
  • Gives you ‘me’ time
  • Helps you unwind and relax
  • Helps you self-reflect

Incorporating a positive self-care ritual before bed and in the morning is a great bookend to a transformational self-care routine that will show up in many other areas of your life.

Here is Janette Stuart, Emissary of Joy, WU Featured Author, Best Selling Author, Blogger, Angelic Practitioner with her self-care tip:

Create an evening ritual to end the day on a positive note. You are worthy and deserving of this self-care.

– An hour or two before bed turn off all screens
– Enjoy soothing music or ambient background sounds of nature
– Enjoy a cup of calming chamomile or soothing peppermint tea
– Make time for slow, deep breathing
– Count your blessings and savor why you are grateful for each item
– Enjoy a candlelit Epsom salts bath
– Read something delightful (not scary or upsetting)

If you don\’t have one yet will you be giving one a try? What do you plan on pampering yourself with at the end of the day?
