Healing the scar of a broken heart. No, wait. My heart was not mine and so I had to reclaim it. It took a conversation with a friend for me to realize I couldn’t heal what I gave away until I owned it once again.
“If you let this one get away, you will be alone forever.”
The scene was just like watching a movie and hearing the echo, “FOREVER… FOREVER…forever…” as the camera zooms in frame by frame, the look of horror on my face, is he right? Will I really be alone forever? Is J the best thing that has ever entered my life? Am I such a terrible person? Not compatible?
Hard to get along with? Standards too high? Undeserving of love? Worthless?
Get away? Must I imprison someone to be loved?
Why would my dad say this to me?
Oh, the thoughts that went through my head! I felt dizzy and nauseous as if I were going to pass out. To consider being alone the rest of my life was terrifying. To have these thoughts running through my mind brought back all of the unworthy feelings, and more than feelings, at this point, they were beliefs, deep, rooted, defining beliefs of not being worthy of love.
This is the beginning of my chapter, chapter 1, Heart Reclamation, Using Visualization to Take Back Your Life.
Today, I celebrate who I am, all I have achieved, and all of the wonderful blessings in my life, my family, friends, my community, my network, my life!
Years ago, if you were to use the term ‘Goddess’ my perception would have sent my mind to envision a Victoria’s Secret model or beyond beautiful Amazonian warrior princess. I would never have thought that I could be a Goddess if I believed the completely media-driven perception I had.
Now I see we women are ALL Goddesses.
Our confidence, kindness, compassion, strength, honor, self-love, courage, self-expression, is our unique Goddess energy manifested.
When we live in our divine Goddess energy, we are living from the essence of which we were made. It is our light. It is our fire. It is our expression of all that the Universe put inside of us.
This is your unique Goddess energy.
When your energy shines, you attract all your heart’s desires, and all the Universe has for you.
We don’t even know the blessings that await us. But until we are ready, they will not appear.
How do we connect with our Goddess energy?
How do we prepare for the unknown blessings and treasures that await us to embrace them because the Universe sees we are ready to shoulder them, care for them, honor them, and in turn honor ourselves?
And that is the magic in self-love.
My chapter focuses on taking back your heart from a breakup, however, you may have given your heart away as a child, had it taken from you, given it away to a cause, a perceived purpose, anything at all that keeps you from that feeling of worth and is the wall between you and what you desire to come into your life and bless you.
It’s time. The year is over. It’s been a rough one.
When you are living in your unique Goddess energy, you are able to experience life on a higher level filled with love, joy, peace, abundance, ease, and grace.
You create a funnel for blessings to reach you.
Gratitude is a way of life. Forgiving comes second nature. Happiness is found. Desires are fulfilled.
It took me a lifetime to discover this. My hope is to help you get to that magical place of living a wonderful life experience you love, appreciate, and honor.
